v2.0 alpha 3 is out!

Hi all,

This is Flutterbird, my entry of the 2018 KVR Developer Challenge. It's a free, open-source effect plugin for adding pitch and volume fluctuation to incoming audio. It can be used for traditional wow/flutter effects as well as more chaotic, extreme modulation.

Operation is simple: link each oscillator to pitch and/or volume. You can also control the wet/dry mix and the overall pitch or volume modulation amount.

Let me know what you think! I can't add new features until the competition is over, but I can do bugfixes. And any suggestions made will be stored safely in the back of my mind for the future.

Looking forward to trying this out as I love your other plugs!

Great plugin just like Cocoa Delay.
A request, is it possible to display value somehow such as when mouse hovers over a control?

Post

what kind of value would you like it to display?

Hmm, I suppose it would be easier to understand and compare the controls if we have Speed knobs displaying Hz or whatever metric it uses to define the rate of oscillation, while Pitch and Volume knobs displaying -1 to 1 (like Airwindows's inv/dry/wet kinda thing in Iron Oxide5).

Actually when I turn off the GUI in REAPER, the values that it displays with generic UI is quite helpful, it would be nice to have it on the GUI too since it looks prettier.

Also, is speed measured in Hertz or synced to beat/measure?

Excellent plugin Tesselode.
Thank you :tu:

speed is in hz, i haven't implemented tempo sync yet, but it's a common request!

I just noticed a typo, the parameter for "Oscillator 3 to volume" is labeled as "Oscillator 4 to volume", resulting two parameters with the same name.

I used to use MTremolo for pitch LFO effects, but the zero latency on Flutterbird is VERY helpful. Super helpful to throw on MIDI winds / strings for some soloistic expression, and the lack of delay means I don't need to turn it off every time I record. Huge thumbs up!

Would definitely like a hz display for speed and a +- cents display for pitch though. I usually know how much and how fast I want my tremolo, so a readout would be much quicker than doing it by ear.

Still, I cannot complain about such a great plugin. Thank you so much!

This is fixed in 1.0.1, but I don't know how to update the file hosted on the KVR servers. It is up to date on itch.io: https://tesselode.itch.io/flutterbird

Thank you! Keep in mind that there is latency, but you may not notice it until you have more extreme pitch modulation.

Ahh, well it's been trivial for what I've been doing! Huge improvement over the 1000 samples or whatever from MTremolo.

Is it possible to download the 1.0.1 version without having to open an account? I followed the link above (on my smartphone) but don't see any download option.

EDIT: Downloaded it on my PC. :ud:
