I have a number of Cubase 9.5 projects which include audio tracks recorded at 48k. I need to convert them to 44.1k. What is the best way to do this?

Is it better to open an empty project at 44.1k and then use "Import tracks from Project" (which is quicker) or "Import Audio" for the individual tracks. Or is there some other way?

If you're concerned about the quality of conversion, don't use Cubase and go for third party conversion software. There's a free version of R8Brain that will do a better job than Cubase. Once converted, then import the audio into a new project created at the desired samplerate.

Cubase is known for especially poor samplerate conversion by today's standards

Agree with Funkybot - do SRC externally with r8brain(free stuff).

Cubase SRC is worst in class still among main daws.

ok, thanks both. Just d/ling R8brain now.

Luckily many of the projects are audio free but there is some critical audio that even though I have the MIDI files they are not easy to recreate the audio from them.
