I was in most enjoyable concert yesterday evening, one
of the numbers was "Vincentiana", composed by Einojuhani Rautavaara.
He uses unconvential instruments, such as synthetisators in classical music context.
In the program leafleft, in the presentation, I noticed this:

I listened to the first part of your first share here. Nice! Reminds of Satie. Certain tendencies remind me of what I was doing in the late '80s or '90. Jazz extensions but not jazz really.

He was really great composer - BTW, studied in the Julliard in the 50´s.
He had a long period of atonality and serialism in his music (example).
