This one is called Dark Streetlight (~7mb) I'm not an ambient musician by far, but lately I've been experimenting quite a bit with ambient-esque stuff and this is one of the results.

Every sound is from EVE (all from the Famous Keys 2 soundset, actually), processed by a mixture of Spectral Relativity impulses, and the free Classic series effects.

Hope you enjoy! Any thoughts at all, feel free to post em.

Let me say just this; keep experimenting on this path. I love what I am hearing here :D

I have to admit to having a hard time listening to too much ambient music. It seems to me to be a bunch of evolving and swirling pads with little dynamic interest or compositional merit. Further, the rhythm (which I find to be the trickiest part of making music) is usuall non-existant.

That preamble out of the way...

I sure wish I could make swirling and evolving pads like that. :(

:D

Cheers,
Greg

Hmm, well I don't listen to any ambient music, really. Actually I don't listen to much electronica at all - mostly Pantera, Megadeth, Zepellin etc. Pretty bizarre I'm writing this type of music, actually. :-o

Anyway, you might like some of the other songs on my website more. If you have time, check out 'Undeniably Sweet': it definitely has some compositional merit ;)

I had time, and without derailing THIS thread, it was--indeed--undeniably sweet. Much more to my liking. :D :D
