Is this possible? Actually, I know it is because Omnisphere does it but can the actual width of a square wave be modulated with a sampled waveform?

Reason I ask is because I'm considering making a sample based "emulation" of my Akai AX80 in Reaktor and it seems pretty doable but the sync and PWM with sampled waveform generators never occurred to me.
