Sending Midi From DAW to DAW, very delayed signal

I am running sound from a tv cable box, processing it through ableton. The video signal is being processed though resolume. I have a bcr2000 midi controller messing with various audio vsts in ableton, and i want to use the same knobs (cc Parameters) in resolume. I have successfully figured it out, but i have a lot of delay on the incoming midi signal. The parameters in ableton are effected in real time, but resolume has a huge lag.

I send the midi from ablton from my delta 1010lt card, into a generic usb to midi cable.
I realize perhaps using an actual hard-wire cable to send midi might be problematic, but i have no issues sending midi this way in other DAWs such as energyXT with zero delay.

Ive tried installing MIDI yoki, it doesn't show up in the midi options.

Suggestions?

I don't follow what you're saying about the cable and the video app, but if you're looking to Midi Yoke for a virtual connection, I would suggest loopMidi as a replacement.

Couldn't get Midi Yoke to work reliably after Windows later than XP. :x
