Could there be any reason other than a slow sevice provider that causes me net to crawl ???? omething on my end ??? ive got cable net..

Once I had a slow network and found out it was because i used too much bandwidth on uploading (filesharing/ftp) so it slowed down my downloads. I am using DSL.
