So a little history on this song cause it's f**king awesome. In 2007 singer song writer Sufjan Stevens (if you haven't listen to his music do your self a favor and do immediately) held a contest where in a fan sends him a song. And then he writes a song back to the fan. It was for a charity and a neat little idea.
It's a nice song with a very Christmas-y feel. I would just curious if someone could help me figure out the chords to this song?

Why are the avatar's on here restricted to 50x50px? That's like absurdly small.

Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

I wasn't aware that you could interact with him directly on his site. That's very cool. However, this is not a song he wrote. The song is composed and performed by Alec Duffy. He is the winner of the 2007 Xmas Contest held by Sufjan. In this contest Sufjan releases and promotes this guy's song under his label.Aloysius wrote: ↑Mon Dec 24, 2018 8:36 pm He has a website. Maybe you could ask him.

Helping is OK. What have you got so far? What part you need help with? Because the first few bars really should be easy.kvraudioaccount wrote: ↑Mon Dec 24, 2018 8:21 pm I would just curious if someone could help me figure out the chords to this song?

You could try Spiral, it was designed to help discern the notes used in playing audio (it's a VST and visualises in real-time with surprisingly little CPU overhead):
http://photosounder.com/spiral/
There is a cut-down CM version, however the full version gives you a lot more control and lets you focus on spectral regions (I guess you could process the audio going in to narrow down on the chord frequencies).
I also like to use it when doing sound design you can visualise things like detune and pitchbend, it's also useful to see where the sidebands for FM are falling etc. or to check which regions are more or less stereo etc.

I'm not going to verify the accuracy so perhaps Bert's version is better.
