I've got the BCR2000, and this thing is huge, and I mean HUGE, bang for the buck!!
It has sh*tloads of knobs and buttons, is solid, very easy to read, and has LED's all over the place. Yay!
For starters it has ...
* 8 push-button rotaries (knobs you can also push down on), with 4 shift key variations = 24 knobs.
* 16 push-buttons with 4 shifts key variations = 64 buttons.
* Another bank of 24 rotaries
* Small bank of 4 push-buttons.
It works with USB and MIDI, and allows midi-merging. I have my CS6x plugged into it, and the BCR2000 plugged into my Emulator X. So far I have not had a single hiccup with it, and I have been using it extensively to edit sounds in Emulator X and it works like a charm.
It's probably the best piece of kit I've bought in a long time, along with Emulator X
It's well worth the buy - probably worth double what I paid for it!!

Ive heard theyre not working with Live if you want Lives Midi output to update the hardware controls midi values

Behringer needs indeed to work A LOT MORE on designing presets and integration solutions for all common sequencers and sofwares that need control. For now, you can only easily set up the BCF for Sonar, Sx and Logic, and the BCR for Logic only. I don't say you can't quickly set it up for other softs, but beware the learn function (that should normally simplify the set up) require your software to send midi data back to the controller, and this doesn't not seem to be that much a common feature nor an easy task to parameter.

Behringer didn't do a single move yet in the direction of designing new presets and templates for an extended list of softwares, so the problem you may face is to end up with a nice machine you can't really use.
Once you get it for the software you want to control, it's ok, if you already know enough about controllers and your software it's ok too, but in all other situation you may well face a kind of serious issue : how to make it work properly?
That said, this is a serious kind of mystery why a firm simply neglects to offer such a natural thing for a midi controller that are integration solutions, templates, tutorials, presets and documentation. The manual won't help you at all in that neither, it's only 15 pages (including covers and midi charts tables...), dated november 2003 (v1.0 when current firware is v1.05...), and the promised software editor utility is still unavailable...
Looks like they are on holiday, some of us too, and we would appreciate them to move their ass so that we can endly use this vacation time to start working with that (non-the-less) fine hardware...

I too have the BCR2000 and am using it with Cubase SX. I have spent several days writing my own remote setup's in cubase!
It may be worth pointing out that as far as I understand it - you will only get parameter feedback (sliders/knobs moving) if you use the BCR in conjunction with your hosts' automation setup tool. I've simply used the "all controllers" preset on the BCR (all knobs/buttons are assigned a different cc) and written different remote setups in cubase to route that input to the relevant soft-synth, or cubase itself.
I am incredibly impressed so far, it is amazingly flexible when you use it in this way - with a couple of button clicks I can move between controlling any of my soft-synths or cubase itself.
I love getting hands on control of softsynths, it feels like you actually get to know the instument a lot better - anyhoo I suppose I'm a configuration junkie, still got lots to do. Highly recommended for SX at least.

It's a positive review because the machines are undeniably great. 
But if you read carefully the "taking control" sections of that review, it's not that positive, and points out too some difficulty setting up the controls.
I felt the same too contacting behringer for some support : they replied quite quickly but didn't really helped at all in the end for the current issue was facing. If you think for instance the BCR2000 comes with presets but there's nowhere a list of what they are, and the onlyreal and tangible thing they did after I contacted them was to put online the Factory_Presets_BCR.zip (can you imagine that, THERE WAS NOT EVEN THIS AVAILABLE BEFORE I ASKED!!!).
But they are moving, this morning I saw they opened that zip and offer now to download each and every preset separately in one zip, (lol, nothing new here...) so I keep insisting, Staffi admitts even being a configuration freak it took days of work to set it up, this review stresses on that point too, I had some hard time understanding the routing of the Logic's template before it worked too (so even with the tamplate!).
I keep insisting, Behringer could indeed make an effort and give some real usefull support and docs (tutorials even if they want to be educative and not only convenient), nevermind the way they do it.
As for now, redeploying the existing few presets is not going to do it!
I sent a pm to Staffi so we could exchange our presets, that would be 10 minutes to do a web page sharing the presets, I can do that anytime.

got 1 here, i had some probs gettin it up and runnin with OP55 (damn why do they let u select just 1 midi device).
I use the bcr with my pcr50 and must say controlin the shit with the bcr makes live much easier tho no presets 4 any OP users or its synths. Ok most synths got the midi learnfunct. (shift click) wich makes it even more easier.
The learnfucntion of bcr in combo with OP doesnt seem 2 work.
Although the software 2 make ya presets isnt available yet (what a stupid policy is that, same shit happend 2 me with the pcr 50), making them with just the bcr isnt that hard yet a monks work.
Biggest prob tho r the several (synthedit) plugins where the developer didnt implement midi cc cause its not explicitly necessary but within OP55 assignin a controler is a damn pain in the A... cause u need 2 scrol down thru a (in most cases)large list of parameters.
So here is my request 2 all u plugin developers:
can u develop your plugins with the ablity 2 (shift)right-click and a smal popup menu opens whith midi-learn option (or something similar). Would b appriciated.

ordered it months ago, but behringer couldn't deliver for 3 weeks, so i bought monitors instead.
so i dusted off my kenton control freak and did profiles for all my stuff except for cubase itself, didn`t know how , probably never will.
but the behringers still seem to be tempting .. maybe in a few months... or after i have a behringer endorsement deal

I dont know if its old news ..The firmware update, version 1.05, makes your B-CONTROL completely up-to-date. Please be sure to update your hardware BEFORE installing any preset listed below.
