Hi!

Trawled the internet far and wide for an answer to this question, I'm hoping someone here can help me.

Recently got Waveform 8. having some issues with FX busses.

I have 2 on my mix, just 2 different combo delay/reverb busses for vocals. Using Waves HDelay and HVerb. Every time I play the edit, it just stutters and fails to play smoothly due to CPU overload. Is there any way to render the contents of an FX bus? Im happy with the reverb sound, and send levels and things, but is there any way to render those contents, or otherwise freeze it so i can play through the edit without constant stuttering. I feel like I've tried every combination of freeze points, freezing entire tracks etc but nothing seems to work.

I did have this CPU issue with drums, although that was easy as I just rendered the contents of the submix into a new track, and then muted the submix. I just play the rendered file when i'm mixing the other stuff.

The only other plugins I'm using are 5 instances of Waves Hcomp and HEQ, but they don't seem to be using too much CPU. No VSTs or anything like that, all purely audio files.

Im running a PC with an i5 (2.40Ghz) and 8gb of RAM. I would have expected that to be sufficent, but correct me if im wrong.

Please can someone help me so that I can get on with the mix and my Logic Pro Elitist bandmate can stop laughing at me.

Thanks!

-Bailey

You might be better off asking on the Waveform/Tracktion forum:
