Hi Everyone,
I own both Pro Tools 9 and Reaper, and I'm wondering if I can use the Pro Tools Creative Collection of plugins in Reaper. Reaper plugins are .dll, and the Creative Collection plugins are .big. Is there any way I can convert the files, or will Reaper not accept .big plugins?
Thanks for your help!

ProTools plugins only run in ProTools.
If you really do want access to the same set of plugins, the .dll (ie VST plugin) versions that will run in Reaper are sold as the AIR Instruments Pack. I think the current cheapest way in is XPand2, currently £14, then the £60 upgrade from a single instrument at Plugin Boutique. The bundle directly is priced at about £350 though nobody sane pays that, its all about the cheap upgrades. Weird business model, basically.
Occasionally individual instruments get given away free or silly-cheap (ie £1) there, but the current upgrade price is about as cheap as Ive seen it.

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

The ".big" file should be a plugin's sample/content folder if I recall correctly. It is not the actual plugin file.
Check the file size, it should appear as quite large (GBs). The plugin will find this content on its own (from installation) or have a way for you to direct to it from within the GUI.
