I already have studio quality plugin limiters that I use, but I'm looking for a zero latency limiter more as protection when playing virtual instruments in a live setting. Any suggestions? PSP just came out with one, and I might just go with that unless convinced otherwise.

Can't confirm right now but maybe Barricade?

Post

it says Barricade 4 has 3ms in the product page.
an improvement over the old BarricadeCM's 11ms, but nowhere near zero.
take a look at hornet magnus mk2

Reacomp can work as a limiter with ratio set to maximum and attack to 0ms.

Yeah a compressor with no lookahead and 100:1 ratio perhaps

Hornet TrackUtility, TrackUtility MK2 or Magnus MK2.

How do I set the Limiter in Toolchain? I can't find it.

Click on None -> Dynamic -> Limiter

Why's that I don't have the Dynamic section?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I use 'any' limiter from McDSP for zero latency. Pretty much the same story with all their
plugins I believe.

If you don't mind using 32 bit there's quite a few old, free plugins with built in limiters that are zero latency. Variety Of Sound's Ferric TDS and Nasty VCS, also Grancomp.

Waves eMo D5 is a real dynamics workhorse with low CPU and zero latency. Their L1, L2 and L3 LL all have only 64samples at 48khz which results in just 1ms of additional latency. L1 would make for a great 'protection' limiter because it has a true peak mode and auto release. All of them will be 29$ sooner or later.

iZotope Neutron has a zero latency mode, too.

TDR Limiter 6 has a low latency mode with only 14 samples at 48khz which equals 0,3ms.
