I’m using Wavefront 8, and after installing some plugins, I have an intermittent noise happening, like a “pink noise” or a hiss, loud, and it happens on different midi tracks, jumps from track to track and it shows in the meters too, any ideas? Please help

are you using a demo?
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

No, I bought a Behringer Umc204Hd U-Phoria Usb Audio/Midi Interface and the Tracktion DAW came as a bundle, fully functional

Demo version of a synth or effect maybe?

Is it always the same noise? Same duration? Same level? Is the time interval consistent? Knowing more factors can help.

What's your audio setup? Maybe you set the latency too low?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Then you need to isolate what the cause is by being methodical.

(Im going to presume you mean Waveform 8, btw, as thats what Behringer actually give people)

Start with an empty Waveform project. Record some 'blank audio' and play around editing it for a while. See if the hiss turns up. If it does, its Waveform that's probably running in demo mode.

If it doesnt, add one of your new plugins, create a loop, play around with it etc. See if the hiss turns up. If it does, its the plugin.

If it doesnt, delete that project, start with a completely new empty one and try the next plugin.

Repeat with each plugin one by one in a new project until youve tested all of them.

That's the only way you'll track it down.

I think you're operating still in demo mode. Even though you got the app for free with your interface you need to register it. I've seen this question at the KVR Tracktion forum here before. The swelling pink noise, wind sound is the demo mode indicator. I've heard it before myself.

At the Tracktion website there are instructions for registering Waveform you got with an interface. Visit the Tracktion forum here.

Thanks Steve, I followed the steps that kindly mentioned whyterabbyt before, but it happens all the time, so maybe it’s still in demo mode.... I’ll keep posted if it works

I found that the problem it’s caused from the collective plugin, it happens whenever I use it, tried reinstalling but it’s still there, so, since I’m really new in this, I don’t know how to deinstall plugins, maybe if I start from 0? I don’t know....

Post your question in the Tracktion forum. The Tracktion developers monitor it and maybe someone else there has had this problem. Did you click on the unlock button in the Collective plugin header?
