Hi,
i have huge dropout issues in my sessions (Ableton Live10) so i tried to change the buffer size, which i can't change in Live. So i changed it in the "Focusrite ASIO Control Panel" but there ithe max is "1024".
Im on Win10 and the driver im using is "Focusrite USB ASIO Driver 4.36.5"
My PC is an i5 with 4 Cores (3 GHz) and 16GB RAM and i bounced all heavy hitters (Omni, Iris, Arturia...) to Audio, so im assuming that its not the PC dropping out.
Anyone else had that problem or knows how to solve it?
Is there another/better driver i could use?
Would be highly appreciated.

That's a pretty strong assumption to make, it could still easily be overloading on one or more core.

Open a project that is overloading and hit "ctrl+alt+del" to bring up task manager, click performance then "open resource monitor" and check them to see if anything bouncing off a 100% when it's playing.

Hi,
I know this is very late reply, but it may help others with similar Focusrite dropout issues.
I had the same problem on Windows 10 (22H2), and latest Focusrite drivers 3.11.0.1983 on 2 x different Scarlett sound cards, on 2 different Windows laptops, as below:
1) Laptop #1 (HP EliteBook running Windows 10 - 21H2 OS build 19044.2130) - Scarlett Solo 3rd gen - latest drivers: Focusrite Control - 3.11.0.1983
2) Laptop #2 (Dell Precision 5510 running Windows 10 - 21H2 OS Build 19044.2130) - Scarlett 4i4 3rd gen - latest drivers: Focusrite Control - 3.11.0.1983

I tried many solutions, and ended up with installing the "Focusrite Control - 3.6.0.1822_0" drivers.
That fixed the problem.

All the other drivers listed below, caused the exact same problem, one or more of them caused Windows blue screens in the middle of an audio listening session, randomly:
Focusrite Control - 3.9.0.1978
Focusrite Control - 3.10.0.1981
Focusrite Control - 3.11.0.1983

I did all the uninstalls/re-installs properly, and patiently, and my above findings are concrete and reproducible.

Hope this helps someone,

Alex

I've found 22h2 unstable for audio, including with the focusrite. 21h2 is fine.

Do you have download links for the older drivers?
