Hey folks

K-Devices, long time known for their rather unique & pretty creative Max For Live devices seems like they are now jumping into the plugin wagon. Thought you guys might find this interesting…

They’ve released two plugins, an amplitude modulator & a creative delay effect.

TTAP seems fun, having the demo in the actual browser is cool too if somewhat limiting

I bought them both and they’re really good, the delay was a big surprise and very creative.

Nice! Not surprising. I own a bunch of their Max For Live devices and they are very unique, these guys really think outside the box when creating tools

Glad to see them offering plugins now.

Do you have to hover over every control to discern what it does? I can forgive this when there's 2-4 (I'm looking at you Freakshow Industries, even though I love your plugins & it's your USP), but the whole damn plugin? Surely that degree of abstraction is a workflow killer?

IMO priced just a little too steep for what they do. VolumeShaper is half the price of the [non-sale] RRP of WOV and seems to have quite a bit more control (and a GUI that doesn't require hovering over the icons). Have all their M4L devices but I think these two have priced themselves out of my interest.

You can switch to names instead of symbols. If not, hover over a control doesn't help, you must click on it, so that it's shown with it's value in one corner. I really like the style, but that's a matter of taste of course.

I think that the approach of WOV and VolumeShaper is extremly different, and see WOV more as a Tremolo on steroids. While VolumeShaper is a feature monster, WOV comes with a really nice selection of parameters where you can get fast very pleasing results. This is my cup of tea and bought it immediately, while I'm totally uninterested in VolumeShaper. My only criticism would be the CPU usage, which is IMHO to high for what it's doing (as I mainly work with a Surface 2, i'm sensible regarding CPU usage).

Any more impressions of this and how they compare to other VSTs? They look quite unique, though hard to tell if it's worth grabbing them compared to something else.

for the black friday all K device is at -50% for 24 hours!
I am very interested in TTAP only I would like to know what the CPU consumption is someone can tell me?
Because you can't really know that with a demo in the browser (that's why I don't like this idea)

i have both and love them both and use them a lot nothing else quite like them. you can do some really interesting stuff w/the envelopes. can make some really gooey sounding things when using them in tandem. they're both transparent sounding processors.

totally worth it imo. very useful processors. the M4L devices are essential as well if you use M4L you'd be nuts not to roll them into your work flow.

The Max For Live devices are amazing and rock solid. Very friendly on the CPU too, I own the granular ones + a few others like Holder and they are sound transformer gems.
