Hello,

I'm actually tech guy. GroupDIY forum is my birth place.

So, i made free plugin for them but i want to share it on other forums, too.

Made preamp modeler. Included 11 preamp (mic and line).

All of them have their own character, transient response and dynamic. But freq. responses are fully linear. Cause it's digital world and we can do what we want

Also it has filters from V76 circuit. Possible to use with all preamp models.

Yeah, it was sad when tyrannosaurus rex died too.

Seems like its coming along nicely! I would like to see a wet/dry or some kind of parallel processing for the heavier distortions. thanks for the download tho. I'm getting good use out of the diamond series.

Just updated to new version.

- Added Quad Eight Mic Pre (Great dynamics and transient response)
- Added Bypass switch and Output knob
- Now every preamp at unity gain
- Added new GUI
- Added Windows 32 Bit version

I've been looking for a multi-algo preamp box and this fits the bill nicely. I'm playing around, favorites so far are 4 and 10. 4 acts as a limiter, preventing spikes from passing through. 10 does a great job of reigning in the sound aesthetics of a hot signal.

Quick bug report: The input knob is not responding for models 8-10.

that's because 8-10 algorithms have not been made yet. what makes AO good is he has experience with studio gear and knows what it's supposed to sound like on the compression side. i would expect an update in the next couple of days. he's a fast coder. good plug maker.

I downloaded the link today. There's something happening in 8-10. If it's not the final version of the model, I'd like to know what's there because it's working for me. I was pushing through a very hot signal on purpose to test the limiting ability of the plugin, and I found that 10 cuts down the harshness of the original signal without limiting it (it lets 0db spikes through). If it's just a boilerplate spot until the code arrives, I want to know what the boilerplate is doing.
