Alternative to Cubase 9?

Hi guys, I've been using Cubase since 2014. My lessons were taught in Cubase and I got my head around it and am quite familiar with things. But I've lost my dongle for my 4th time and it's just too ridiculous. I work both at my studio and on my laptop, so I take the dongle numerous times and that's where the losing happens.
I'm trying to find an alternatives, and am looking for suggestions.. (PC User, hiphop/rnb beatmaking)
My three main important workflow is
sequencing Midi via VST (including lots of detailed automations)
manipulating sample wav files
lots of detailed editing on the roll.
I'm thinking maybe Ableton?
I also lost sense of Cubase community; it's hard to get help when there's a problem but DAW like Ableton has tons of info.

I think FL Studio is a good alternative for Hip Hop and it's gotta great piano roll.

I would start an S1 trial, https://splice.com/daws/38650984-studio ... y-presonus with changed keyboard layout assigments to Cubase (can be done in its options)
the mentioned "how do I import a cubase project into studio one 3 ?" worked for me https://answers.presonus.com/16748/how- ... 810#a16810

I think it seems like StudioOne is the most comparable alternative .
Note: I don't actually use StudioOne. I am on Cubase as well.

I have a CD-R with a 30cms long length para cord on my dongles, I never lost one in decades.
Use Cubase and stop losing them. It is no reason to change DAW unless you really want to.
Cubase 9 onwards has been a DAW dream come true for me. Unless you are lacking something vital that is not in Cubase for your production it is going to be a very big learning curve to migrate to a new DAW.

Not really. They are not very similar DAWs even in basic approach. Studio One 4 makes tons more sense. Albeit I demoed it and was rather meh for me.
Stop losing dongles makes the most sense.
Lose one and Steiny actually will give you a new license, or they did me end of 2016 (I lost everything being in hospital half a year), keep losing them I'd reckon not.

Jumping ship and just picking up another DAW is just something that happens. I personally loved Nuendo and used it for years. Then Nuendo became a different beast and I jumped to Reaper and Bitwig and now I mostly use Waveform 10 and Bitwig as a giant clip launcher.
I say if your done with the Cubase just try out any other DAW.

Bitwig is my DAWs and UHe and Tracktion Synths are my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!

Stay with Cubase and stop losing the USB elicenser. Use a tether to physically attach it to your laptop.

I'd also vote to stick to Cubase, and stop losing the dongles.
Seriously, if you're otherwise happy with it, and don't want to spend another hundreds of Euros, IMO, it'd make more sense to stay with it.

I primarily use Cubase, its probably one of the best DAWS for orchestral music. It all depends on what kind of music you do. Ableton is probably best for EDM music and Pro-Tools for post production work and audio. In my opinion they all have their benefits and the best one to use is the one you know best.

There's only 1 alternative to Cubase 9 and that is Cubase 10. But, any of the other DAWS will do you.
