Went through the entire bank yesterday. This is one of the finest soundsest I've heard from Le Lotus Bleu.

As with any soundset it boils down to the capabilities of the synth it's made for. Indeed PolyKB III is a very impressive and powerful synth. Both in sound and features. What one can achieve within these boundaries is naturally a question of skill and talent.

The later being a good reason for using and enjoying soundbanks made by gifted and experienced sound designers.

I believe most people trying out a new synth start with browsing the presets. They're a bit of pointers to what the synth can do and, in my case, open up a sonic world that I, most likely, wouldn't be capable to create and discover otherwise. Or even being aware of what's actually possible.

Anyway, I feel this soundbank really opened up some new dimensions. the only "bad" thing is that with so many great sounds I've no need to teak the knobs myself.

The name of the bank, however, is very ,IMO, misleading. It should be "Found" and not "Lost " circuits. :-)

Thanks Sfd

There's indeed some truth in what you say for the name of the bank. When I started it, many months ago, the idea was to approach the MiniMoog, Yamaha Cs-80 (and CS-20M etc) with the very early PolyKB III. It worked rather well. So, Lost Circuits wasn't so bad at that time.

Then, PATH, the reverb, and a lot of things happened, and I added a few other directions, like making '3D analog' patches etc. The name however ... remained

You can still tweak the knobs when needed to adapt to context, and also : the mod wheel/aftertouch/PB etc. This often makes patches come more alive and organic in the end.
