Hi. I have had extensive trouble with PSP plug-ins (nexcellence, springbox and 85) causing my PT 12 (2018.10) to shut down when changing a value in GUI, non-responding when restoring/loading and access violations, followed by shut down. I really like nexcellence and 85 and would prefer to get them running okey. I´ve had a great communication with folks at AVID community leading me to identifing PSP as the source. From there i contacted AVID and PSP and got some directions (deleting preferences, updating interface drivers and running it on inboard interface) that don´t seem to fix my problems . So, does anyone experienced the same and is there a solution that includes keeping the PSP plug-ins and have them work as they should? Thx. / Jonas

I have had similar trouble with plugins eg Amplitube custom bass when changing presets whilst playback etc.
I just crash. I had to stop playback when changing presets. My system and pro tools is fine.
Just too much processing. I ended up not using Amplitube custom bass because of this.
I think maybe not enough processing power on your computer?
NOt sure why psp would do this it does not look like a really big plugin :)
I would try deleting the plugins and preferences etc and start again looking at how to delete all fragments of the plugin.
I have never had trouble with PSP plugins :)

I´ve gone thru AVID advice to 1. delete preferences and databases 2. update or disconnect outboard interface and run with ASIO 3. create and run from another admin. I had no luck with these adjustments. Now i´ve sent .dlog file from a crashed session and interface model info to AVIDS support hoping they can identify the issue. PSP themselfs could only help me so far. Now i´ve gotten a partial refund on half of my plug-ins with them. I´m thinking i will sell the rest, but 1. i really like some of them and 2. it feels like i´m offering broken stuff.

It shouldn´t be a process power issue. I had a Sandra report of my system looked at by some guys at AVID Community and they saw no irregularities. It doesn´t happen with other, more CPU demanding plug-ins.

Thx for writing. / Jonas

Same here - PSP/Pro Tools 12.5
Xenon, Master Q2, Noble Q, Echo all crash the system - high end PC.
Contacted PSP, told me to update to latest ver. But still plagued with crashing. Too bad bc PSP is highest quality audioware.
