At the full price I doubt that many bought them.
At the offer prices, based on the demos they sound worthwhile.
As usual, it depends on what you are looking for.
For $148 for the pair I'm sure you'd find some useful patches overall for many scenarios.

I looked into Epic choirs a few months ago. Eventually went for SoundIron's Requiem Light which came down to $140 on BF.
I remember someone telling me that 8dio and Soundiron were the same company before a split. Its said they use the same choir samples. I am not 100% sure of that, but you can check it out.
The Soundiron one comes with a soloist and some good FX and a decent phrase builder. It sounds good but its not as playable as , say, Oceania. Storm choir would probably be the best, but that didn't come down much on BF.
I've been reasonably happy with the Sooundiron one, although it has some flaws (staccato biting, slow swelling).
If its playability you want, then Oceania.
If its best sounding, Storm / Strezov.
If its bang for the buck, Soundiron Requiem Light. (Geoff Manchester has a pretty good video on it on YT)
Sorry I can't comment to much on 8dio... but here's a thread that is commenting on it now:

Yep, Tonehammer. The one former partner, Mike Peasley is pretty darned cool, the other, Troels Folmann is pretty much a douchebag and 8Dio is basically douche culture.
In my experience, anyway.
(I saw a discussion/thread, not here or the other usual suspects, where Folmann had run with a project he no longer had ownership of because it was a collaboration the other individual pulled out of, and had successfully lobbied the forum (VI Control iirc) to shut down opposition to the action, deleting posts, the whole 9 yds, where Mike dropped in to write "What a douche.")
Yeah some gossip, what can I say. I lost my upgraded Frame Drum to a computer thief and 8DIO would not let me back in.
Every other sample dev got me sorted. Never again.

I don't plan on being an 8dio fanboy, but I did go ahead and get the bundle as I wanted both types of choirs - don't need a ton more so this will be it. The price with the 10% off signing up for the newsletter of $133 was really good. I know they aren't "the best" (I also know they're good), but I'm also not creating trailer music. I think I'll be satisfied, and these should compliment the Ethera EVI2 and Ethera Gold from Zero-G as far as singing samples go.
