Slate Digital just added a bunch of new stuff to their sub.
- Slate Academy (production masterclasses)
- Kilohearts Snap-ins (28 plug-ins including Multipass and SnapHeap + extra presets)
- Ana2 synth (including lots of extra presets and content)
And best of all : the monthly fee will stay the same.

Was that the big announcement for this week? I was expecting the long-delayed audio interface was going to finally see the light of day.

Yeah, that was the announcement I got. I love my sub but this doesn't do much for me.

Kilohearts aren’t related to Slate are they, other than this single business venture?

Pretty interesting direction they are going in.
I can't see how you could be unhappy about this as a Slate subscriber.
I personally don't like paying for things forever but if subscriptions were something I was into, I think I would find Slate's to be among the best of the bunch.

Slate has partnered with many companies on this. Overloud, Schuffm (spelling?)Liquidsonics. Now others coming onboard. Not sure how that works but it's not painless because s-gear is going away in September. Then again, they NEVER update their product so ...Mushy Mushy wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2019 8:03 pm Kilohearts aren’t related to Slate are they, other than this single business venture?

Thanks for the confirmation. I did know about D16 in the past but am not close enough to Slate to know the others.reggie1979 wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2019 8:20 pmSlate has partnered with many companies on this. It's pretty sweet. What you get is unparalleled. The quality of the plugs is quite high, though it's a ton of stuff to sort through.
My favs:
-Well, VCC and VRM. They've gotten the load times down now and they are slick.
-Air EQ. I can't live w/o this. It's the best eq I've ever used.
-The bus compressors are still terrific.
TH-U slate is ok. Lustrous plates are ok. Some people really like them. Verbsuite classics are terrific, but kinda complicated. I've give up on being a verb ho. I just use the stock Reason verb 99.9% of the time and be done with it.
It's worth 150 a year IF you use these things, if you don't, it's unnecessary.

^ Yeah but I’ll never own anything by Slate and let’s just leave it at that

Pretty happy about this update. Altho i already own all Kilohearts stuff except the 2 latest snap-ins (Ensemble and Flanger), which unfortunately are not included in the Slate bundle. But Kilohearts stuff is used in every project here and comes highly recommended.
Ana2 is a pretty cool synth and even has a lot of extra content and presets so that will keep me busy the coming weeks.
Didn't check the Slate Academy videos yet, but i do know Puremix charges 25$ a month for their stuff so all in all a pretty good deal to get this kind of stuff as an added bonus.
The bad thing about this is that many people will now discover these secret weapons called Faturator and Disperser...

Yeah, I saw the "everything will change" and hoped it was, "We're finally getting rid of this silly subscription service!"
*sigh*
If everything Slate made was absolutely, positively best in class, I would probably sign up. But it's a mixture of spectacularly awesome and . . . meh. Nothing wrong with Kilohearts, but I, for one, am not "at a loss for words . . . because it's hard to describe just how powerful it is." You know, it's a multi-effect. With multi-band. They don't make the best effects I've ever heard in my entire life, and I can fire up MB-7 and put the ones I have onto any band I want.

Yeah I was expecting the same effect as the "VMR V2"...lol.
Love their plugs but hate these marketing bs.
