G-Lan MB´s Marvel or 3com (fx-teleport)

For two new MB´s with G-bit Lan I consider ASUS A7V600
(KT600/3com 3C940) ,...... or the new and better A7V880
(KT880/Marvel 88E8001) please inlight me if there is any
diffrence between these two lan chip-sets from a teleport
point of wiev,.. (asside from lan-chips I prefer for KT880)
I stick to the old amd-socket I guess, but new MB´s for the
64 bit CPU´s are using exact the same two chips it seems
so my question is relavant for all boards-byers I guess

I will start with a simple two-computer setup, but if lan-
chip-sets interact with switches, maybe I have to consider
it already now to be prepared for adding a switch later
