Hello all.
Just costumicing my Reaper look and workflow.
Is it possible, to add a toolbar to the midi or drum edditor or to the main window also, that occures with a right click and offers tools, like, cut, erase and so on?
So you don´t have to go to the dropdown menus every time.
cheers

First look at the mouse-modifiers. Some commands (like insert, erase and move) canclassic wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 4:56 pm Is it possible, to add a toolbar to the midi or drum edditor or to the main window also, that occures with a right click and offers tools, like, cut, erase and so on?
be covered by mouse-modifiers (in the preferences).
For actions which are not realized by mouse-modifiers it is wise to put them
into the toolbar.

Learn to use keyboard shortcuts. Learn about "actions", and how to map them to keyboard keys.
You'll work at least twice as fast, and it also keeps you focused because you don't have to look away from what you're doing all the time to locate buttons on a menu bar.

I was thinking to buy Cubase for lots of money, but now I think, I safe the money and buy Reaper instead.
By the way, I would like to see the tracks I select like in the mixer window right at the left side, right beside the tracks, like in Sonar, I think.
Can´t figure out how to get the track I select be displeyed there.
Any idea?

Just add new toolbar , click edit and assign your new commands and choose an icon
But I want to open it with a right click, just for the moment to choose my tool, erase, cut, slice or what ever and then, it should disapeare when I start to edith.
Would be a time saver for me.
How to do that?
Thanks

Maybe look into SWS Contextual toolbars:

edit:
The link to the SWS installer is outdated there, this is the current one:
