FireCobra combines the accuracy of the digital world with the live randomness of the analogue. Behind its simple user interface, there's more technology than you'd expect. FireCobra intelligently analyses the audio signal and makes it sound punchier, more powerful and better in general. It makes the mixes better with nearly no time wasted on setting it up. Just put it on every track you'd like to enhance and set how much. Quick and easy and sounds unbelievable. Get the 15-days fully working trial version and tell us what you think of it.

Good little enhancer plugin , but very expensive , even with intro price at 77 euros.

May be 20 or 30 euros will be good :tu:

I like :
- the sound !

I dislike :
- the price for a "soundgoodizer". Sorry but it's not packaged as a "pro" tool, see below.
- the fact that I have no clue about what's going on when I use the different buttons, brings an amateur feeling (+the funny name, sorry)

If the price was lower I think there would be no problem at all. This appears to me like some kind of Sausage Fattener alternative (ok, not targetting the same sound), which is $39.

this thing sounds great!
A bit too pricey for me though.

United should remove the blurb about being CPU friendly.
It's a friggon hog.

Hi guys. Got an email today concerning black Friday offers. There you mentioned a 30% discount coupon. But there isn't any included in your mail. Maybe you'll check that :)

I general I must say that your plugins are impressive and I hope you have a good entry into the market. I already own FrontDAW and Hyperspace. Both are great. The first one should urgently get an output volume control for the sake of fast and easy unity gain staging control.

In general I think your plugins are far too expensive and a general offer around 50 euro each without all those eye wiping super sales mechanism wound make much more sense on the long run and feel more serious.

Is the Royal Compressor a real - by hand - modelled plugin?

One last question. As Jm8 mentioned, hyperspace, like the Melda plugins, will have a life time update warranty. Can't say enough how much I appreciate that. It's that true for the plugins of the other brands of United plugins?

Keep up the great work. Cheers

I'll say. Over 30% for one instance at full oversampling, linear phase, high mix and Intensity - but such is the price of quality :tu: Use it on an Aux and put on OS for rendering only.

So I'm demo'ing this because I'm loving Royal Compressor and now this is on sale so I thought I'd check it out. Though I normally avoid most gimmicky enhancers (remember Slamdawg? ) - I can't stand controls like "Shine" or "Phat" or whatever immature trap den BS controls they put on them - but I do enjoy some 'enhancers' like Warmifier and True Iron which are reasonably upfront about what they're doing.

So anyway, at first glance this thing makes a skeptic out of me - gasp, it has a control called "Smack" = I really want to hate it! But I can't. Because it sounds Great.

I put it through Plugindoctor to try to figure out what its doing but Plugindoctor doesn't tell the full story. 'Smack' seems to be some kind of multi-band expansion or upwards compression happening between transients that brings out background detail, as well as the usual glossy dynamic saturation etc - Can anyone else figure out exactly what's going on?

I haven't tried Zynaptiq's 'Intensity' but from the descriptions of that, I wonder if FireCobra could be comparable.

Holy Mother of Dog! FireCobra is nothing short of amazing! I downloaded the demo a few nights ago and spent some time trying it out on the weekend and it has blown my tiny mind with it's ability and simplicity of operation. At first I was using it as a saturation type ting on individual parts and brings out an amazing presence in whatever you add it to. With the parameters turned up it can be very unsubtle, in a good way, but on your master channel, with the mix at around 50%, it is a great all-round enhancer/saturator/soundgoodizer. It's the most instant gratification I've come across since YouWaShok! which, sadly, is 32 bit only (we used to use it on everything).

There is obviously a lot going on under the hood because if you use the same settings in different situations you won't get the same result. e.g. Settings that really push an individual lead sound will be far more subtle if applied to a mix. If that sounds like a criticism, it is not. Quite the opposite, I like that it has enough smarts to understand what it is I might be wanting to do with it. The documentation is simple and straightforward, giving you some insight into what each knob is doing and offering tips on how to employ them.

It is 60% off for the next two weeks or so and at $59 I think it is well worth buying. There is a fully functional demo version you can try first and, honestly, you'd be crazy not to at least try it out - https://unitedplugins.com/FireCobra/

FireCobra blew my tiny mind again last night. I'm getting a live set together in Orion, first time in 64 bit so there is a lot of work to do on our old songs, and last night I started trimming our new songs of all the bits we won't need live. I added FireCobra to the Master channel of one of the songs and I just couldn't believe the effect it had, even before I'd started playing with it. It put a nice sparkle into the top end and opened up the mid-range like a medical examiner cracking open a chest to expose the internal organs. All the bits that had been competing for overlapping frequencies were suddenly behaving themselves, allowing you to hear everything so much more clearly.

It was an honest to Dog revelation so I went back into Cubase and added it to the finished album project for the same song. The effect was far less dramatic but a definite improvement nonetheless. I was going to deliver the album to the label today but instead I am going to go back through the rest of the songs and add it to everything. After four years, another week isn't going to be the end of the world.

It just blew my mind again. I have been working on a cover of Simple Minds' I Travel and tonight I added in some VG-Iron to beef it up. I was really happy with the mix, with zero effects used, then I started adding a few things here and there. Once I was happy, I put FireCobra in the master channel and BOOM! The guitar comes to life and everything else sounds instantly clearer, brighter and with more punch. It is seriously unbelievable how good this thing is and how insanely simple it is to use. Three knobs, less than a minute to get it perfect. It's insane, yet it seems I am the only person around here who knows this, despite my best efforts.

Any discount code needed or do I have to create an account to see the discounted price? 🤔

Edit: Just looked at the date now... Probably misses the discount

Yeah, you did, and it's not cheap at full price. Still, try the demo and you might think it's worth paying.

Would appreciate hearing before and after.

I appreciate the insight but I am not into those kinds of tools that do magic with a few knobs. I really enjoy the challenge of using more specific/discrete tools to get the sound I want. It's just something I enjoy personally and so a few-knob-magic-tool would be boring to me. But cool that you like it and it does such a great job. :phones:
