Plugins that separate tonal signals from noise

I'm looking for any/all of the plugins that can separate an audio signal's tonal and noise values. Here's what I have so far, I am wondering what I am missing:

IRCAM Stretch oscillator in UVI Falcon, actually it separates the audio into 3 components, since, transients and noise. And Eventide has a delay which does the separation. IRCAM TS is a standalone program, not a plugin.

Unfiltered Audio Zip's can detect Noise or Tonalness for dynamics.
Unfiltered Audio BYOME and TRIAD have a "Spectral Follower" modulator that can target Noise or Tonalness.

I wonder if there is a way to use that to filter out one or the other component? For instance, say I have a tom sound that I really like, but it’s got too much of a melodic tone to it, could I use Zip to just affect the tonal part?yellowmix wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 3:16 am Unfiltered Audio Zip's can detect Noise or Tonalness for dynamics.

Groove Agent 5 is exactly the tool for that, it has a tonal/noise separator which is very good in detecting/analyzing percussive sounds.dangayle wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 8:02 amI wonder if there is a way to use that to filter out one or the other component? The compressor affects the entire signal, so it wouldn't separate it unless it is already isolated, from what I understand. I tried it anyway. Then I tried frei:raum's entropy mode at max settings.dangayle wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 8:02 am I wonder if there is a way to use that to filter out one or the other component? After I uploaded this I thought up using BYOME but there's no way to extract just one signal. Best I could do was make the spectral follower trigger a highpass filter to kill the bass of the tom, which also targets the bass of the noise.

RX 7 Spectral de-noise (as a plugin) lets you de-noise only tonal or only noise elements of a track. Although I'm guessing this wasn't the sort of control you were looking for there?

Hmm. I have that in RX 6, I’ll try it out.zacha wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 3:05 pm RX 7 Spectral de-noise (as a plugin) lets you de-noise only tonal or only noise elements of a track. Although I'm guessing this wasn't the sort of control you were looking for there?

If you haven’t used the control before, look for the little chain link icons under the vertical slidersdangayle wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 3:58 pmHmm. lol, I was about to post this exact question then decided I should do a search first. Annnnnnnnnd it turns out that I am OP.
I still haven't found a tool that makes this easy. I'm gonna see if I can make a M4L device for this.
