I'm not giving you any specifics as you might find them boring, but if anybody can do something "funky" I know it is you guys. I have no brilliant ideas as I'm technically challenged, but I'm sure there are a lot of smartelectronix fans out there who could come up with ideas. My only idea is a "Smartelectronix Drum Synth". BTW: You could name it Sherpa, but that's totally up to you.
If anybody can do it you can!!!

I am willing to donate as I'm sure other people will, too. Let's see who's willing to donate!!! It will be a collaboration of smartelectronix fans in helping the development leading to the collaboration of geniuses in developing the best drum synth in the market. How much is appropriate for the development of this kind of thing? (of course I have no idea what kind of a thing, but I'm sure people will come up with some really cool but reasonable ideas)

I think the trick Tuz is - to put a boring ol' beat box THROUGH Smart Electronix stuff to get the real wack tones happening. DFX stuff, KT Granulator, Ioplongs Slifty, and all. And sometimes you can just use a preset, and bingo! Other times, it's just a few button presses to get things 'in sync' and it's 'tie me down momma, cause Buddy Rich is gonna hurl!'
And a beat box unlike no other already exists, courtesy of Bram - One Ping Only. Used it soley for drums on my track 'The Tragic Deaths Of Insects'.
To hear it in action, go to www.soundclick.com/stevenwest and go to the bottom of my MUSIC page.

Thanks you guys for the replies. I appreciate it. I was thinking something like One Hit Only, where you hit a button once and "an out of this world" beat plays. I really like the sound of one ping only as long as the sounds aren't to high pitched and I can do a random piano roll on Fruity after I choose my sounds on One Ping but I guess I'm still looking for something else, something minimal but without boundaries. I don't know what I want. I know I'll want it when I see it, but until I see it I won't know it... if that makes sense. If you have any ideas please post.
Thanks again
