It seems to be impossible to load this vst3 in Reaper.
Anybody who made it work?

Post

No issues here.

Any time I want to load it into the latest version of Reaper, it crashes the DAW.

Maybe it has something to do with the copy protection, try running eLicenser Control Center to perform the maintenance tasks.

You can also try the VST2. It's installed in C:/Programme/VstPlugIns/Retrologue.

No, its not. Just the vst3 version is installed. :(

Post

Hmm... did you perhaps install the 32-bit version? You can check that in the installer.

Also check your C:/Programme (x86)/VstPlugIns folder. If the VST2 is in there, you have the 32-bit version installed.

I checkt every possible plugin folder on my hd.
Just the vst3 version.
You can´t choose what to install while installing and it does not give you any hint of where it is installing something.
Strange.

Strange.
I will deinstall all today and give it another shot with a new installing.

It should install the VST2 as well, when you install it. It always did that here. Weird.

Post

On my PC it's in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins.

Post

Right, so it should be the location saved in the VST plugin default install location in the registry file (which i have forgotten now...).

P.S.: Here it is: viewtopic.php?p=5608935#p5608935

Cakewalk? :o
Did not look there.
But will check this out today

I think that folder, and the location in the registry, is added when you install a Cakewalk plugin. I had that as well in the past.

Post

This could very well be the case because I own Z3ta+ 2, which is a Cakewalk plugin.

@OP: Have you tried to load the VST3 in another host? Since it's a part of Cubase, can you load Retrologue in Cubase?
