Hi all and thanks for any replies in advance. I need a new soundcard...Ive allways used creative labs for some reason and the SBlive! i normally use is not installing correctly on my new pc and to be honest im sort of glad..Can someone please point me in the direction of some good soundcards for making music(spending region of 100-250 pounds)oh,and a soundcard that IS NOT Creative labs.....im never going down that road again.Only other thing i'd like to mention is that I really like the live drive audio connections being around the front of my pc....are there any other soundcards outhere with a front connector thingy majig? Please help!

M-Audio Delta. The whole range is the best there is for that price. All of them have connectors that you can put where you like, so you can drag the connectors to the front if you wish.

Solid latency, hasn't dropped in price in 3-4 years. What else would you go for???

You're welcome.

There are other cards of course, but you can't go wrong with the Delta series really. If you can afford one get one. I have 3!!!

I agree that the Delta is a solid line. You may not have heard of them, but they're one of the more well-known ones, so you're not looking at some crap-tastic "fly by night" company. I use the Audiophile 24/96 which is technically part of the Delta line, though it's probably not what invasion was referring to.

Another option is the recently introduced EMU 0404. It's way below your budget, so you can probably look at 'better' cards, too, but depending on your needs, this has ASIO, on-board DSP, and looks to be the business for cheap. If it's all you really need, then you can use the extra dosh for software or an entry-level condenser mic!
