Hello everyone, :D

I have some questions, I want to collect every old CD for Samplers, that I can find and there are some CDs, that im looking especially. Im sorry for the many questions, but i thank everyone in advance for help and replys.

1. What CDs where the best or most used sampler CDs for Acoustic and Electric Drums, Kicks, Snares, Claps between 1995 and 2002 for Sampler? Some names would be awesome.

Does someone know, where this Snares / Claps are from or maybe, where I can find similar snare / claps?

2. What CDs where the best or most used sampler CDs for Percussion (Congas, Bongos, etc.) between 1995 and 2002 for Sampler?

I have noticed that in the old songs from 90s the producers have used often congas or bongos, but they sounded in every song like the same one. I heard this in productions from balkan, but also other countries like america. I think they came from a sampler cd but I don't know. Does anybody know from where they are?

Here is the conga that I mean at 00:06

4. Does anyone know where this cymbal roll are from? I noticed this cymbals always in productions from a popular producer from balkan at his best years, and I heard the same cymbals recently in a documentation with other sound effects. I like this cymbals very much and i have very much libraries, but there are no similar rolls in my libraries.

at the beginn to hear:

5. My very last question, where is this loop from at the beginning from the song?

Looking forward for replys
Greetings to all

Ohh, you're looking for old sample-CDs? :o

The most used Sampler in the 90ties were the AKAI S900, S1000, S3000, S5000i-
series. I remember the Sample-CD "Megabites" for AKAi, where they had all basic
Multisample-sets.

In that time those Multisamples were rather small - only 2 - 12 mb per multisample!
So there were around 100 Instrumentes of all types on this Megabites-CD,
including all kinds of percussion.

Today we have gigantic libraries - pianos often have several Gigabites.
But very often I end up using these ancient small AKAI-Samples, because
they still sound better in certain songs.
