I keep hearing from more and more people who get banned from steinberg forums and getting posts deleted when asking help about certain issues.
I was banned once before too for asking a question about an issue with cubase 9.5.
whats going on with their forums ??

...I noticed ..that they just manage to answer some questions...when it's a simple question and easy to understand..
..most of the time they do address questions related to bugs and glitches..etc..

I guess thats all they are looking at...otherwise they feel its you who is wrong...or you just dont know how to use their software..

btw...what was your issue with 9.5?

Steinberg is a strange company. They make very good products but their support quality is among the worst in the software industry. Regarding the Cubase and Nuendo forums, all the support and help comes from the Steinberg users, not the company itself!
This does not apply to the Wavelab forums. The dev itself is extremely responsive and has an answer for everything.
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steinbergs despice for their users has a long story. Luckily I've never had the need to contact them. Issues I have had have other users on their forums already answered for other users.

I had both incredibly helpful and mindblowingly pathetic support experiences with Steinberg within just a few days, possibly hours. Some people there are really engaging and helpful for the most trivial matters, and some seem to just quietly close unanswered tickets about quite severe issues (endangering another user's licenses), without even bothering to copy & paste an FAQ link to a solution or something.
I wouldn't even bother to sign up for their forums, based on what I've read about what happens there. It's just puzzling that there wouldn't be some semi-official/unofficial spin-off community forum, by Steinberg users for Steinberg users. Because surely there must be quite a few knowledgeable ones of them around, some of whom might even feel compelled to help a brother out. Or are there such forums and I just haven't come across them yet?
Confucamus.

Asked for help three weeks ago and have yet to receive a reply.
I am selling my Cubase 10 with Padshop Pro and dongle. USA only!

Gearslutz have a dedicated Cubase forum, but it's about as active as an eskimo you've given a kettle to, the Presonus one isn't much better, but discussion is generally pretty helpful and practically free of mods.

I once waited 4 weeks to get a reply after a support request to Steinberg USA. And the response only came after I contacted Steinberg Germany after receiving no response from Steinberg USA. Their USA support is absolutely terrible. Their excuse was that they didn't have enough employees in the USA to give timely support to Cubase users...

I have had to contact Steinberg on 3 occasions in the last 10 years, each time concerning Padshop Pro. AFAIR each time it took about 4 weeks to get a reply.

They just don't like a herd of noob 50% off customers
Joking aside, they seem to have same unhealthy mentality as apple discussion board.

OMG, a forum banning users. How dare they??

I highly doubt that. Nobody gets banned over asking questions. Seriously. Why do banned people always need to hide the fact that they got abusive and insultive? And why the need to start a crusade in other forums then?

Yeah, it doesn't feel good to get banned and shared suffering is half suffering. But there has to be a reason for the ban. In my observation, they don't ban criticism in itself. Certainly not will you get
banned just for asking a question about an issue. What exactly was your question?

(I don't know why I feel the urge to defend them.)
