I was listening to a DX7 audio recently and noticed again how funky and punchy it sounded. So, if an emulation sounds the same...BlackWinny wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 6:02 pm AAS String-Studio

What a pluck sounds like varies a lot with the genre, though. EDM plucks often have little in common with authentic pluck sounds from a string.
Like with synth brass vs real brass.

When it comes to physical modelling, I prefer Falcon.
When it comes to synthetic plucks, I prefer MSoundFactory.
MSF has very snappy envelopes but Falcon has more tools (currently) for creating realistic/modeled plucks.

What is that song? Something extremely familiar.
It seems that most people love these scratchy high freqs which nearly all Dune3 supersaw patches have.
