They're not plugins, they're sample libraries. I don't think there's any other way to play the libs for Kontakt but I believe some of the libraries (e.g. Sonatina) are available in other formats so have a look for SFZ players.

Some free Kontakt instruments include the samples as .WAVs (rather than compressed .NCWs), so you can load them up in another sampler if you like. The instrument is more than just the samples, of course, but the samples can still be useful.

Thx Ill look for this.
I'll also still try and find a way to play/ convert 3rd party (not NI, i guess that would be wrong) free samples to a playable format.
If anyone knows this is illegal for a reason pls let me know

I noticed bigcat1969 said in another thread from 2014, motu MachFive,
looks like it works in 2019, it says it supports Kontakt libraries
https://motu.com/products/software/machfive/sounds.html £230 squids
But still is an alternative
But a free/ cheaper alternative would be better

I would imagine Mach5 only supports importing the sample mapping, not the nki scripting going on.timboy wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 12:57 am I noticed bigcat1969 said in another thread from 2014, motu MachFive,

In that sense, it's no different to mapping out the samples yourself in something like HISE of sforzando. Only you wouldn't have to do it by hand.

There's a few libraries available for free that work in the free Kontakt Player, though not many...
Some that come to mind are Sennheiser's DrumMic'A, Embertone's Arcane and Soniccouture's free instruments

Thanks Evilantal
Im beginning to think the only way is to buy Kontakt, but really dont like it... its just seems a big piece of software when all I wnat to do with it is very little
Also starting to worry about the legality of converting Nki files too
