Hey all, just looking to see if anyone has a backup of the "Lead Steel Drum" by Ben Glooped for Kontakt. All the links I see online are all dead and I've heard great things about this free library.

I did some digging, but all I could find were a lot of dead links, just as you say. I even tried looking for the library in other formats, thinking I could convert it to Kontakt. The library does exist in other formats, but all those links were dead also.

If it's of any help, I did find a free Steel Pan Drum on the Bigcat Instruments site. It's a different set of samples, but at least it's a free steel drum in Kontakt format. Here's the index page for all of Bigcat's GM MIDI instruments, and you can scroll down till you find "steel pan drum":

Nice Hang Drum sound!!

But I think the OP wanted steel pan drums.

I´m gonna keep an eye on this thread as I was planning to look into getting some steel drum sounds into my work on an upcoming project. I´ll let you know what I find!
