Hi, first I want to apologize if there is an existing topic regarding my question because I didn't find the exact solution for mine...
I have a PC, running Windows 10, using Cubase PRO 10 and I recently bought the Orange Vocoder from a very kind seller here on KVR. :phones:
But it seems that this was a wrong decision due to the fact that Zynaptiq offers this plugin only as an AU-Version at the moment... :dog: :? :(
After downloading the Orange Vocoder and unzipping there is a .pkg-file whitch I'm (of course) not able to install... :D
My question: is there anything possible to run an AU-Plugin as a VST in Cubase using a PC running Windows 10 PRO?
It seems there are many wrappers to run VSTs as AUs but not vice versa...
If there is no solution then I guess I'll have to wait until Orange Vocoder 4 will be introduced...

Can anybody help?

Thank you in advance!! :tu:

I just did a quick scan, and while Bidule offers a workaround, I am not sure whether it’s worth the price or effort just to have AU to VST capability. Have a look and see what you think.

I think once Bidule is loaded as an instrument or effect in Cubase, you can make the connections in Budule’s module editor, and Bidule doesn’t really discriminate between AU or VST. It just treats them all like modules to be routed wherever you like. Disclaimer: I don’t use this, I just found someone on gearslutz talking about it

It's 100% impossible. AudioUnit plugins only run on Mac OS-X, not at all on Windows.

Read the specs for Bidule. AU support, as commented, is only available on macOS. What you're asking about can't be done.

This will be insane, but you can run macOS as a virtual machine inside Windows:

Then run the plugin on that macOS virtual machine with any daw, and use Reamote to pass audio between Cubase on Windows and the daw on macOS....

Did they finally get that Reamote to actually work under OSX?
