Interesting, congratulations.
Can you explain "hack" a little bit more? What bothers me most with all the synths and instruments is that there are always a lot of parameters which are not automatable. Can Zenith really map or trigger ANY parameter, knob or slider of any synth?

Hi,

Jumping in here - If your device has CC control then yes Zenith can in theory control it. This can be done either via MIDI learn or by using the bundled preset templates that come with Zenith.

Hmm, I don´t think this is possible. I will take a wavetable softsynth as an example. I can midi-learn sliders and parameters like cutoff, env, etc.. everything what the developer of this synth has allowed to be automatable. But if I want to midi-learn or map a control like "next" / "previous" wavetable, this is not possible. I thought when I read the term "hack" in your description that this would now be possible with Zenith but I don´t think it is. But please correct me if I´m wrong

Hi, yes it works in Logic as a MIDI FX, in Ableton / Cubase etc you can set it up as a Software Instrument and route it to your other VSTs or MIDI interface

You can explicitly control parameters that are controlled via MIDI CC. When we use the term 'hack' we explicitly mean you can then assign CCs to things like LFOS, filters, envelopes etc in Zenith and of course have them in a sequencer grid. This functionality may not be possible in your controlling device, particularly in older hardware which is why we refer to Zenith as 'hacking' hardware.

FYI in many synths you can CC next/previous wavetable. Adding that to an LFO can lead to some pretty unique results.

I'm intrigued - particularly by the preset layouts already built in... might be an excuse to dust off my DX7!

Just to clarify though, if I'm drawing automation into a lane in a "Sawtooth Up" kinda LFO shape, is the resulting CC data "smooth" or "stair stepped"?
