I create Scala files like this;
I use this scale (Rast) as example here. 8 note scale.
293.333333
330.000000
366.2531118
391.111111
440.000000
495.000000
549.379668
586.666667
I create dummy notes for the black keys on the MIDI keyboard. Scale starts from the key C on the MIDI keyboard.
I remove the eight note in the scale since it’s an octave away from the tonic.
The Scale with dummy notes.

1) Edit – Input Scale As Text
2) I copy and paste “the scale with dummy notes”
3) Apply – Change the base frequency to 293Hz. – Yes.
Edit – Edit Mapping
3.1) Size – Get From Scale (11)
3.2) Reference Frequency – Get Base Frequency
3.3) Fill
Apply
Questions
1) Is the Scale Size right at the step 3.1?
2) I look at the output folder and see there is no base frequency information (293Hz) and all the notes in the scale turned into the ratios.
So how does VSTi knows the base frequency 293 Hz? (So It calculates other notes by multiplying the ratios with the base frequency.)
