Tip: Instant Half-Time Beats

Seems like a lot of people are using and asking for "half-time" beats [where the accented snares fall on "3"]. These are good for ballads or mixing things up, especially for an interlude in a song in 4/4.

You can easily create half-time midi beats in Sonar:

1) Select the midi drum data you want to alter
2) In the piano roll, Right click and Select "Length"
3) Enter 200% and click OK

A 2-bar beat becomes 4 bars of half-time!

I've tried this in many different styles including beats with triplets.
Try increasing the tempo if the beat is "dragging" too much.
