Guitar>Audio interface >Macbook> Logic pro

Set up a new instance or guitar/bass track and have also tried with audio track. I can hear guitar but does not register any signal on the track? I have gone into audio preferences and used the dropdown for input device but there is no option for the audio interface?? Ive also looked at the input box on the mixer but no joy there either?

Ive had a look online but cant figure this out??

If the MacBook can’t see the audio interface, that’s where the issue lies.

Give some more details and someone may be able to provide a solution.

What happens if you reboot, plug the interface in and then look for audio inputs and outputs under System Preferences->Sound?

have you installed the drivers for the audio interface?

Macs don’t usually need drivers, but it is possible

My RME needs drivers, My Duet needed drivers, so I would think the issue lies there.
