Tx16 Sampler wont play any sound

Im using garageband and started using the tx16 sampler a few days ago. in the beginning fell inlove with it no complaints but now all of a sudden randomly it does respond to me playing notes on my midi keyboard only when i play using the keys of my macbook is when i hear sound. can someone please help, thanks in advance
