"Rapper's Delight " came on the radio and I heard a dude bragging about how he had a color TV so he could watch the Knicks. Maybe back then but now it's no big deal.

What other lyrics might have made sense at the time but don't work any more?

I've never seen that song's lyrics so I don't know if it makes sense.

Still great songs though.

Guns n Roses have changed a few from the early albums as a few songs refer to faggots. Kudos to them for acknowledging the required change.

A lot of things that Paul McCartney writes make me cringe when I hear them now.

Wonderful Christmas Time didn’t seem quite so bad when it was released as it does now

I hadn't paid much attention to the lyrics on that one. The bassline with the obnoxious delay annoyed me too much.

It sounds like he wrote and recorded it in 5 minutes, but the lyrics remind me of a time when people were still happy to deceive themselves that every Christmas was the ideal Christmas that didn’t ever really fit reality.
