I have a really stupid Pigments 2 question - what format do samples need to be in for import?

simply drag&drop from finder

no v2 here anymore...thread is 2 yrs old

just tried it with v4: doesn't seem to be the case
otoh it's really easy to tune it with the coarse/fine knobs

Nice update.
on the other hand, here are some extra features that could be added:
- a game in pigments, like phase invaders in phase plant
- intelligent preset randomisation and morphing
- 8 separate layers like omnisphere
- stack mode like omnisphere
- Locking feature like u-he and omnisphere
- text to wavetable like vital (but in offline way)
- wavetable editor
....
