What's the point? Even the premise is wrong. There are a ton of melodies that are either out of copyright or were never copyrighted and which can never be copyrighted. This is why, if someone accuses you of stealing a melody, it can be handy to be able to point to a classical tune as inspiration rather than, let's say, Marvin Gaye.
Also, there is a "sweat of the brow" doctrine in (some) copyright law. Randomly generating melodies on a computer is highly unlikely to pass muster with a court on that front alone as even Lionel Hutz could probably put a trivial argument together to blow it out of the water.

the guy doing the video raided an interesting point regards owning a number. owning words and melodies does seem an odd concept when it is boiled down to "language".
how many words would you need to break copyright rules?
ie take a page of the "continue this using lyrics" thread in ot classics.
if you do a whole verse, obviously taking the piss (there may be ocasional homage type things... dunno)
but a few words then a few words from another song, sang to new melodies?

Didn't watch because Adam Neely
all this stuff is usually the wrong conversation anyway. These lawsuits are just about rich bastards trying to stifle creative output from competitors.

This is actually quite fascinating. I almost skipped because “lawyers” “copyright” but it’s an interesting look at the subject. Those guys are pretty cool.

Or either of the bands formerly known as the Warlocks early improvisations?
