I ran into an interesting problem and was wondering if somebody came across this and maybe even knows a solution.

I am in the process of switching from a MacBook to Windows gaming laptop. The system that I am now using is a Razer Blade Stealth with internal graphics as well as an Nvidia GTX 1650-MaxQ dGPU. When I am not on the move I have it connected to a Razer Chroma X eGPU breakout box which is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 2080 Super GPU.

The Razer Chroma X also serves as a full Thunderbolt dock with its own network interface.

When I connect the Razer Blade Stealth to the Chroma, the system turns off the dGPU in favor of the internal graphics and turns on the eGPU. It does not like to run dGPU and eGPU simultaneously, it seems. Additionally, it also switches out the network interface from the internal one to the one that is on the Chroma.

Apparently that is enough for some plugins to think this is now a new computer that needs to be reactivated. It happens with Parawave Rapid as well as reFx Nexus.

Neither Parawave nor reFx ever came across the problem. I ended up uninstalling both.

Anybody ever heard of this issue? Solutions? reFx suggested to manually de-authorize Nexus every time I connect or disconnect the eGPU and then re-authorize it again right afterwards. But that is simply not practical.
