Hi everyone. Long time.
For those of you that don't know me from before my long absence from this and other sample forums, I'm Mark Belbin - the guy behind Wavelore Instruments, most notably (notoriously) the Wavelore Pedal Steel Guitar, as well as other innovative libraries for NI's Kontakt.
For those of you that do: Hi again - I'm still here.
It's come to my attention that there has been a lot of negativity in the community regarding my company of late, and this is not unreasonable; I've committed a serious lack of effort to responsiveness in the last several years, in spite of being passionate about my samples and sharing them with the world. There are various personal reasons for this, but I'll keep those as such, and simply offer my sincerest apologies to anyone and everyone who's been inconvenienced as a result.
Please know that some IT issues beyond my control have caused several breakages of our auto-delivery system in the last couple years, and each was as lengthy, painstaking, and demoralizing situation to recover from. Happy to say, however, that the gears are turning smoothly again, and everyone who's ordered from us recently was responded to promptly by the system without error (excepting the dreaded junk-mail delivery).
As far as I know, everyone with a delivery problem has either been satisfied or re-imbursed. But....
Support is another story: I've definitely ticked a lot of folks off by being unresponsive in this department, and again I apologize. I invite all with outstanding support needs to contact me again, and promise to make every effort to resolve whatever your issues are. That said, I implore you to look at the documentation included with your products-I can literally count on one hand the number of questions I've received that weren't answered in manuals or readme's. To that end, I aim to add the recurring questions to FAQ's on the website in the hopes that that resource will alleviate that challenge somewhat.
With that stuff out of the way, some other news regarding Wavelore being back on the donkey:
We've just dropped prices on all our upper-tier products! Some were very low-priced to begin with, and most of those remain the same, or approximately. Most notably, our flagship slide guitars (Pedal Steel, GLIDE, and GLIDE II) are now just $99.99 a piece. Please check these libraries out if such sounds tickle your interest.
The reason for these drops is that all products are overdue for updates; improvements to Kontakt, as well as in my own abilities have inspired a lot of ideas for how Wavelore's instruments can be improved and re-vitalized, and the aim is to allow as many people as possible to avail of the coming updates, most of which will be completely free. I do plan on one or two very cheap paid upgrades, but there will also be bundles, crossgrades, etc, and any owner looking to grab a free bump up on any of their WL samples will be able to do so.
I hope this gives some of you renewed faith in Wavelore and what it offers. Please feel welcome to share your thoughts here. I'll be focusing on e-mail based support and inquiries, but will engage here to whatever extent I can.
Thank you all for your past and continued support.
