I would classify as low impact, since I was able to load the Audio Units for EchoMelt and VectoMelt after a reboot. Would prefer VSTs, but would really prefer VST3 ...
Also, the metadata in the VST and AU plugins is highly inconsistent, which has nothing to do with the sound but is suboptimal all the same. The VSTs show manufacturer as PsychicModulation" and Audio Units show it as "PsyM" and the VST names are odd, e.g. "Phonec 2 AU (PsychicModulation)" ... why the AU and (PsychicModulation) in parenthesis on the name of the VST? Also in at least Audition, the Audio Units are not sorted by manufacturer like the other AUs.
