It's been a while since the last free Rhino bank, so for you preset-aholics out there, here is DX7 Recreations volume 2 - a collection of sounds imported from the venerable Yamaha synthesizer, and carefully hand-tuned in Rhino by Daniel Maurer and Big Tick.
You can get it from the URL below.

Daniel has something in the works for you, or so I hear. As for me, I'm working on Electroloops 2, a free bank packed with industrial rhythm, bleeps and noises.

Am I the only one who can't load this bank?
Rhino gives out the error message 'invalid patch/bank format' and eXT tells me that the plugin's id doesn't match the bank's id
I redownloaded the file but it's still the same.

No , I'm having problems as well. I get the message "This file was created with a more recent version of the program". I have the 2.0 Pre Release but did add the upgrade patch SP1 and all other banks will load. Just to be sure I went to the Big Tick site to get the latest version of Rhino but when going to my "Private Files" Rhino is not there, only Dodecaline,EP Phaser and VFS. Any advice Mr Tick?
EDIT: I also have Daniel's BnB-2 bank and it loads just fine.

this made me checking what version I have - it says indeed pre-release. I had the final version installed on top of the pre-release.Teksonik wrote:No , I'm having problems as well. I now started the standalone and it says it is Rhino 2.00 and loads the bank just fine - w.t.f. - where's the 2.00 dll then?
Marc, you can use the demo-version. It will automatically recognize the key and unlock itself.

The installer didn't replace the .dll for some reason.
(maybe I had it loaded?
) - I deleted it now and run the installer again. Now the vsti says 2.00 and loads the bank just fine.
Thanks for your help, Marc

jens,
I had exactly the same problem. I had to check my version and it said pre-release.
I downloaded the v2.0 demo and the dll still had the 6/23 date
I deleted the dll, downloaded again and all is well.
Now why I was able to play daniel's moog banks the other day with the SP1 dll, I don't know. 'Cause in the midst of this once it got the error on the DX7II bank, I got the same error on th emoog banks and I know I didn't get that the other day.
Anyway thank Tick for bringing it to my attention that I didn't really have v 2.00 dll

Please check the sticky thread at the top of the forum for Rhino 2 installation instructions.
I guess Daniel finished the moog bank with the pre-release version, which explains why it could be loaded with it.

Fantastic! Thanks guys
and 'Tick, I can't wait for Electroloops 2, sounds fantastic.
I'm loving my Rhino purchase - in fact I bought all of Daniel's banks later the same day, and there's an unexpected side to Rhino - it really is a rompler/workstation as well as a monster synth. I avoid romplers, as I don't want gigs of data on my hard-drive, but my Rhino install is about 55 megs, and honestly gives me all the basics I need to sketch out a track or new project. The integrated database and all these amazing banks have turned this synth into a 'one-stop shop' for just about any sound I'm after - and I thought I was only getting a synth!!
Amazing work 'Tick and Daniel, absolutely brilliant.
Thanks guys
