How many synths do we really need , seriously what's actually needed in the vst world is a way to integrate all of our sounds and effects.
We've had a couple of dev's attempt their offerings, but 9 times out of 10, they simply want to push their own products, and only support them, for example Native Instruments with nks.
We really need a single format like the old days with fxb's and fxp support. The problem is every developer seems to think that their own format works best, and what ends up happening is a total f**king mess, when trying to integrate it all together.
Please one of you talented developers out there, create a tool that can help end users actually use all of sounds and effects under one roof, preset management etc..

Also, a tip: developers develop what they can sell. They won't maintain things forever if it doesn't bring profit, and especially not maintain support for 3rd party plugins. Sorry, bro.

How would a product that most producers, sound designers, music creators need or want perhaps is the better word, not sell well enough to keep developing and making profit? And there is no standard as of yet, there's simply a bunch of half baked products when it comes to this.

Developers, please do not stop making synths, or other cool things. Not that you were likely to anyway, but yeah, just sayin’.
Reminds me of some other “issues” (in the first world), like “too many choices”, say.

Leave it to KVR to knock a better solution, to help musicians , no lets keep up the madness , we need MORE Synths there's not enough synths Lmao. It is KVR, obviously that wouldn't make financial sense to this forum.

Just buy less synths, instead use just few synths/samplers like most producers.
Watch some masterclasses, really most producers who have careers dont overburden themselfs. Time is essential for making music when you have a deadline.

because the hundred and fifty or so companies who make synths should all drop what they're doing and start working on a tool that's basically a single DAW feature...

I have shortly landed on Melda (MSF) who really turned the World around concerning what I call "openness".
BTW: we should not blame others for that we didn´t really think about that Topic before?
Two Cents: Users should send those Devs their Bills. All those completely seperated Product Lines (Arturia, NI, U-he, ...) may have their Advantages, too - but if you ask me it is not in the Time-Dimension and concerning Users Interests.

As you may know many did already. FL, Reason, ... But if you ask me mooving from one Cave to an other is not desirable for the User.whyterabbyt wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2020 2:50 pm translation : "hey synth developers; you dont deserve to make a living the way you want. do what I want you to do instead"

A DAW could give you that perspective. Bitwig is doing that, you can browse for presets. It would just load the synth associated with it...
And Unify seems to be a tool that could do that if your DAW doesn‘t. It will layer and mix whatever you throw at it. Same idea is Akais VIP... The whole idea behind NKS is also in that direction, but too much bound to the hardware NI sells...
All these solutions do allow to use any synth to place into a preset...
Personally I am happy with my DAW and have no extra need for my VIP anymore (was a bit too complicated as well)...

My point is the synth world is over-saturated with many times the same thing over and over again. It'd be nice to see the developers with their talents to create a better solution. I'm not demanding anything of anyone, simply asking the dev's who could to take a f**king break from the norm and bring users a better option.
The idea we need 50 subtractive synths a year or 80 different dev's creating another emulation when there's plenty of that going on,is -maddening!
