Whoah. What a crappy story. 
As for the low-blow review... well, some of his albums suck... but there's some brilliance in there as well. Pretty hard to top "Under the Table and Dreaming" or "Crash".
Especially the latter, for making out on one of those surreal nights when you and your girlfriend forget about the rest of the world...!
