Exercising to Club music

At the risk of sounding like Richard Simmons, I highly recommend excercizing to Club music. Each morning and evening I speed walk around my block (about a mile) to several favorite Club tracks. It not only helps me keep my middle-aged spred at bay but it gets my ass motivated into doing it in the first place. (I hate excercise). Another advantage to this is it really helps me to key into all the nuances of a track thus giving me ideas for my own material. I find that 120-125BPM is around the perfect tempo for speed walking. Any faster than this and you begin to look like a Roadrunner cartoon.

Are all your spell checks broken or something? It's exercising. Crikey, not even Americans spell it with a 'z', let alone all the extra letters in there.

When I used to into fitness and excersise I always ran to the Fatboy Slim "On the Floor at the Boutique" mix CD. It was perfect because it really started to cook just about when I was hitting my peak. Nowadays it's much easier to run with a skip-free flash-player or iPod.

I used to watch VH1 while I walked on a treadmill at home. One day I decided to watch Fantasia instead... I got to the "fast part" of Dance of the Hours and before I realized it, I had cranked the treadmill up to 6mph.

Ummm, OK so speed walking looks gay, especially in spandex; and no, I don't use a spell checka and I somtimes mispell, which proves I am HUMAN! I took up speed walking under the recommendations of a certain Dr. Weil, who suggests one takes up walking rather than jogging or running, because as one groes older running is actually harder on the heart. So if one walks all through life the heart gradually acclamates with the aging proccess. By the way, how do you know I'm Not gay? Hmmmm sweetie?

Unless you're the goob who puts "inspirational" messages up on the sign at the church on the corner. It's tempting to mail them a dictionary and label it "the other Good Book"Mr Arkadin wrote:Are all your spell checks broken or something? It's exercising. I think exercising to club music is gay and I should know!
But then who gives a shit when your washboard stomach gets you laid on a regular basis? Don't matter if you're gay or straight, a firm stomach gets you laid. Otherwise I wouldn't put up with all those macho twats who hog the free weights just so they can admire themselves in the mirror.
But you do risk sounding like Richard Simmons (camp as tit's by the way) starting a thread like this. When I read it I just thought WTF!
Not even I'd have the balls to do that and I've left myself open to ridicule in many a thread, believe me. This has to be my favourite out-there thread of this month so far. Nice one! Keep 'em comin'.

but listening to LeftField while on the Nordic Trak was quite a workout.

There's a song in this somewhere.. let me crank out some lyrics:
*Verse 1*
Washboard stomach gets me laid
But working out won't get me paid
Gotta sweat and gotta use it
Exercising to club music!
*Chorus*
Work it hard and work it fast
Exorcise your fat
Who cares if you come in last?
You're hung like a baseball bat!
I don't have a second verse, I need beer to get any further with this and there's none at work, only at home (lol).

The "dance" music is just HORRIBLE at the gym I go to. Wants me to either fling weights into the mirror athletes or bang my head into the wall
. Id rather have yanni playing in the background than that pounding garbage that passes for club music. Its not even proper club music, way cheezy. id rather have no music at all than that annoying crap.
