I've been doing a bit of research into this lately and there is a lot of info online, but wanted to get some perspectives from people here...does anybody work closely with libraries on library music? What sort of genres/ styles have you found to be popular? Any tips/ tricks/ pitfalls etc?

I gave it a try last year, I uploaded around 30 tracks and made 10$. I don't really recommend it, my analysis of the market is that it's going the Netflix route thanks to websites like the Envato Market. This is not a good model for the musicians who provide the music.ITB_Audio wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2020 4:51 pm I've been doing a bit of research into this lately and there is a lot of info online, but wanted to get some perspectives from people here...does anybody work closely with libraries on library music? On the other hand, if you get hired to a high profile agency, you can make a good living out of it because their employees will work to push and sell your music. But you need to be both very good as a musician and lucky.
Even for high-profile musicians like Klayton, the licensing market is getting crowded. In the case of Klayton, he's now making most of his money from streaming.
